If you are too drunk to drive in Palm Beach Police will give you a ride home

Monday, June 05, 2017

DUI ridesUsually the sight of blue lights after you have been drinking means that you are about to get a free ride to the county jail, but in Palm Beach Police are giving people that have had too much to drink to drive a ride home instead of a ride to jail. The Broward Palm Beach New Times reported on December 29th, 2010 a new program where police were offering drunk drivers a ride home as long as they behave instead of a ride to jail. Image police trying to help first and not default to arrest and incarcerate. Sounds like Mayberry instead of post-drug war America.
