George C. Creal, Jr. has been listed as faculty of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD). The College’s faculty roster identifies him as an Atlanta trial lawyer and publishes his firm listing at georgecreal.com. See the official page: NCDD Faculty.

That designation is not a paid directory badge. NCDD faculty are lawyers who have taught at an NCDD seminar in the last three years. The College selects instructors for mastery of DUI subjects and the ability to teach those subjects to other defense lawyers.

What the National College for DUI Defense is

NCDD is a national educational college for lawyers who defend DUI and DWI cases. It was organized in the 1990s because those cases sit at the intersection of criminal procedure, constitutional law, and forensic science — breath testing, blood testing, field sobriety exercises, toxicology, and the machines used to generate the State’s numbers.

The College’s stated mission is to provide advanced training to DUI defense lawyers. Its programs include a summer session at Harvard Law School, a winter session, joint programs with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and science-heavy courses on blood, breath, and trial skills. NCDD is also the organization whose DUI Defense Law board-certification program has been accredited by the American Bar Association.

Faculty status is separate from general membership and separate from board certification. Membership means a lawyer belongs to the College. Faculty means the College asked that lawyer to teach.

What faculty membership means in practice

According to NCDD:

NCDD Faculty are those attorneys who have acted as instructors in any NCDD seminar in the last three years. Faculty members have been chosen by NCDD based upon their mastery of DUI related topics and their unique ability to teach those subjects to our members.

Teaching other DUI lawyers is a different job from arguing a single Gwinnett or Fulton case. It requires the instructor to break down implied consent, chemical-test statutes, chromatography, uncertainty, cross-examination of a crime-lab toxicologist, and jury themes so that lawyers from other states can use the material the next week.

For clients in Georgia, the point is simpler. The same issues that appear on an NCDD teaching agenda — GBI blood kits, headspace GC results, measurement uncertainty, independent-test rights under O.C.G.A. § 40-6-392, and how a per se number is not the whole case under O.C.G.A. § 40-6-391 — are the issues that decide Georgia DUI trials.

Formal courtroom-style desk with a podium labeled NCDD National College for DUI Defense, a framed portrait, stacked law books, scales of justice, and a 'NCDD Faculty' placard on the desk. Why this matters to people charged with DUI in Georgia

A DUI charge is not only “what the officer thought he saw.” It is also whether the State can prove the chemical test was collected, stored, and measured the way the statute and the lab’s own method require. Lawyers who teach those subjects nationally are expected to stay current on the science and on how other courts are attacking the same evidence.

George Creal has practiced in metro Atlanta since 1993. He is a University of Georgia School of Law graduate and a longtime NCDD member (since 2014). The firm concentrates on DUI and criminal trial work in Gwinnett, Fulton, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, and the municipal courts that feed those dockets.

Faculty listing does not guarantee a result in any case. No credential does. It does show that the College that trains DUI defense lawyers nationwide has used him as an instructor.
